Retrofit Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Delivering a PAS 2035 Compliant Retrofit Coordinator Service
- Liaising with installation teams and clients as necessary.
- Liaising with platform developers and accreditation bodies, including Trustmark to resolve disputes arising from audit failures.
- Liaising with colleagues to resolve issues and identify system/process improvements.
- Completing compliance checks of project documentation and evidence for multiple concurrent PAS 2035 projects.
- Initiating contact with installation company installers when required and be the point of contact to answer any questions regarding design choices.
Skills/Attributes:
- Ability to influence and develop people, as well as being able to analyse key data, make decisions and produce reports for both internal management and external clients. An eye for detail and be analytical in approach, whilst being able to make commercially astute decisions.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and co-ordinate that of others to meet deadlines.
- Good understanding and capability with MSOffice office suite, ideally with knowledge of industry software e.g., ECMK and The IAA ISA platform.
- An organised approach to project management with close attention to detail and a keen focus on processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with key clients and senior management, householders, contractors, planners, architects, engineers, building control officers etc.
- Advice and coordination services – Set client expectations as to what can be achieved.
- Understanding of when to seek clarification from other colleagues or experts.
- Assist decision-making and take projects in an appropriate direction in terms of scale, costs, other priorities etc.
- Sensitive communication skills including conflict management and resolution.

- Level 5 Diploma in Domestic Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management.
- DEA qualified - Experience in domestic energy efficiency.
Essential:
- Experience of working in, or understanding of, the ECO/GHGVS sectors.
- Knowledge and understanding of PAS2030/ PAS2035.
- Construction industry experience such as working as a Contractor, Surveyor, Site Manager/Agent or Clerk of Works etc.
- A good understanding of the principles of Building Physics as relating to the fabric of existing buildings and the potential consequences of retrofit energy efficiency measures.
- A good understanding of a range of building services systems - particularly heating, Insulation and ventilation systems.
- Experience in carrying out retrofit works in a domestic setting and experience of working with domestic refurbishment clients.
- Ability to review, analyse and benchmark energy performance.
- Ability to identify potential technical solutions.
- Previous quality assurance or compliance background.
- Awareness of commissioning in mechanical and electrical systems (ventilation and heat).
- Should show good awareness of Health and Safety on-site and be willing and able to raise concerns where appropriate.
- Experience of on-site monitoring tools and their appropriate use, e.g.
- Thermal imaging
- Air pressure tests
- Moisture meters
- Flow and pressure meters for ventilation systems
- Knowledge of project risk management in construction in relation to control of time of directly related and consequential damages.
- To undergo training and development in line with the needs of the business
- To assist with other duties within the scope and nature of position
- To assist in other areas of the business when required i.e. complaints, surveillance, auditing.
NVQ Trainer & Assessor
Job type: Full time, permanent
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for training and the motivation and commitment to help learners succeed on their programme of study. Ideally, they will have good mentoring skills and sound knowledge of working with awarding bodies and delivering NVQ qualifications. You should be comfortable working as part of a small team but have the ability to manage your own workload.

- Planning, delivering and assessing a wide range of programmes with differentiation for the varying abilities of our learners.
- Mentoring and supporting students
- Administration, portfolio building, working in accordance with awarding bodies requirements, reviewing and evaluation of quality provision.
- Contribute to marketing, recruitment and business development.

Quality & Compliance Inspector
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £33,280 - £35,490 per year

Location/s: Field based - Leicester
The Quality and Compliance Inspector is responsible for carrying out technical inspections and surveillance for a range of energy insulation measures.
In accordance with The IAA Best Practice Guidance, member certification scheme and TrustMark Extension to ensure continued compliance in line with PAS2030/31 requirements. Through a development programme there will be training opportunities to further expand your knowledge of all insulation measures.
Responsibilities:
Salary: £33,280 - £35,490 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday

- Carry out quality inspection to comply with the required surveillance rates in line with performance objectives and department KPIs
- Provide technical communication assistance to the insulation industry and the general public.
- Good Health and Safety practice and awareness of relevant regulation, providing briefing notes as appropriate
- Carry out customer guarantee complaint investigations in timely manner and prepare detailed reports of findings, conclusion and resolution
- Assist Head of Customer Operations and other Technical Inspector(s) in resolving complaints following investigation and reports
- Carry out planning in conjunction with the central tasking team to maximise productivity
- Complete required surveillance of installers in accordance with department specified process
- Confirm compliance with building suitability assessment/installations quality inspections
- Complete membership review documents maintaining a record
- Undertake customer compliant investigation reports against the customer journey
- Comply with all procedures and processes and identify when changes and updates are required
- Create instructions and procedure when required
- Working as a team to communicate and support the company vision whilst working closely with managers and colleagues
- Act as a mentor and trainer to colleagues when required and make suggestions to develop products and customer service
- In depth knowledge of the energy efficiency industry, technical requirements and standards, including knowledge of insulation systems and techniques
- Familiarity with Health & Safety issues and the PAS standards
- NVQ in energy efficient measure is desirable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work unsupervised
- Demonstrate good IT skills and ability to analyse data and prepare reports
- Good interpersonal skills, documentation and administrative skills and attention to detail
- Clean driving license

As a Building Testing Technician you will carry out testing services for The Installation Assurance Authority Commercial Services.
- Undertake testing services including: background ventilation assessment, air tightness testing, thermography and thermal performance testing to identify and improve building performance and ventilation requirements
- Maintain and promote a positive Safety, Health and Environmental culture through representation and following good practice
- Carry out efficient testing including, but not limited to: background ventilation testing, air tightness testing, HTC and thermography
- Ensure all testing records are uploaded and data is logged accurately
- Keep up to date with developments and changes to testing by reading relevant materials, attending meetings and training
- Working with the Head of Department to identify expansion of services through client feedback and interaction
- Ensure test equipment is maintained and is appropriate for use by carrying out status and visual checks
- Work in a safe manner ensuring personal safety and that of the public is maintained at all times
- Full driving license
- Willingness to travel within the UK and spend nights away from home

Role Purpose:
- Building Repair Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the removal and safe disposal of cavity waste materials, along with general building/remediation skills such as:Cavity clearance (training can be provided)
- Bricklaying
- Plastering
- Decoration
- Carpentry skills
- To carry out routine cavity clearance works and remediation with customer satisfaction in mind. Clear and concise work details, procedures discussed and agreed prior to commencement
- Communicate with the homeowner throughout the process
- Communicate with the Remediation Supervisor and Head of Technical Development to confirm works
- Adhere to good health and safety practice
- Provide a summary of works in progress
- Work as part of The IAA team to develop a high quality and efficient service
- Carry out planning with the Supervisor, where necessary, and maintain an effective schedule of planned works

- Complete the scope of remediation against the customer journey as tasked and document remediation works
