Message to Members from Tony Hardiman MBE, Chairman of The IAA
Dear Installer Member
The Government’s announcement on Home Upgrade Grants and funding for Public buildings is excellent and long awaited news for our great industry, with the first £2 billion of the Governments election commitment now being released. As The IAA, we have been working closely with Government and have written on numerous occasions on your behalf to secure what has now become reality. Through the support of a wider industry group and some of our strategic stakeholders it is pleasing that we now have the very positive news reported today.
If approached with quality at the forefront the future for the Energy Efficiency Sector as a whole is both sustainable (allowing growth and development) and key to reversing the climate crisis. As such we need to focus upon quality delivery, development of the existing and future workforce and robust consumer protection.
The scheme will see homeowners receiving £2 billion in financial incentives to insulate their homes as part of an economic recovery scheme set to be announced by the Chancellor
The recovery package also includes £1 billion for public buildings to pay for measures such as insulation, efficiency and green heating technology to cut emissions and save energy
I am really pleased that as The IAA and CIGA we are working with the very best the industry has to offer and are now in a position to offer your full support needs, reducing the admin burden, ensuring your compliance and providing technical support with your every day activity
So as we move into the delivery phase please don’t hesitate to call the IAA and CIGA teams for advice and support on 03333 239045
As The IAA and CIGA we offer:
- Free membership of The IAA for all existing CIGA members
