The Insulation Installation Assurance Authority launches in Australia

The Installation Assurance Authority (The IAA) signed an exclusive licence agreement with The Insulation Installation Assurance Authority (The IIAA), bringing our proven leading quality assurance framework, developed over 27 years, to Australia, and soon, to New Zealand.

By implementing The IAA (UK) framework in Australia, our colleagues are seeking to enhance the reputation and performance of insulation as a safe, reliable and efficient means of achieving significant energy efficiencies and delivering improved living environments for Australian residents.

Nigel Donohue, CEO at The IAA, commented, “We are delighted at The IAA, after having formalised a licence agreement with The Insulation Installation Assurance Authority Australia, to hear of their recent launch to consumers and industry. The IIAA are building on some of our best practices here in the UK to develop their own robust offer to help deliver the net zero challenge as they strive to improve the energy efficiency of Australia’s circa 11 million homes. The IIAA will protect and guide consumers looking to insulate their homes, their greatest assets, through the quality assurance framework, adopting the “right first time” ethos.”

Nigel went on to say, “The launch of The IIAA Australia mirrors our able-to-pay scheme, which includes our pre assessment of suitability checks, over 100 technical guides, replication of our data management system, and mirrors our guarantee, which remediates and does not compensate.”

The launch of The IIAA is resonating well with the Australian Government and key stakeholders and is something that The IAA is rightly proud of.

Peter Ball, Chair at The IIAA, said,

“After nearly 12 months of significant investment and effort from our Australian based team supported by The IAA UK we are about to launch our “Proof of Concept Pilot,” which will be used to fully road test our systems, processes and policies. We plan to go live in early 2025 and have big ambitions for the year ahead. The IIAA brand and reputation is gaining momentum and a number of industry and government organisations watching us with keen interest. Several state governments are about to launch home insulation programmes targeting their significant social housing portfolios so in some ways our timing could not be better. None of this would have been possible without the patience, industry insights and support of the IAA UK. We have a fabulous partnership, and I very much look forward to continuing to work together during the exciting times ahead.”
