The guidance below has been developed by TrustMark in conjunction with The IAA and RC Certification bodies and is effective from the 18th November 2024.
It sets out the requirements for RC Site visits as detailed in the new PAS 2035 – 23 and how they are to be implemented moving forward.
The requirements provide a slight easement on the PAS 2035 requirement for the RC to visit each install at least once during any project unless the measure(s) fall into those measures which previously had an Inherent Technical Risk of 1.
The guidance specifies the measure for which a site visit is essential, and those for which digital evidence can be collected. It also sets out a range of alternative retrofit professionals who can carry out the visit on behalf of the RC who may also be another RC.
Details of the types of evidence to be gathered on a visit or digitally are included for reference and as a minimum standard depending upon the timing of the visit in relation to the retrofit project.
This will hopefully simplify matters and help ensure RCs can still carry out their role with regards to this requirement.
